Botanicals Gum Nuts - 10 Pieces
A gumnut is the woody fruit of a eucalyptus tree. In Australia, these trees, commonly known as gum trees, encompass around 700 species (before half were reclassified). As a result, the fruits they produce are referred to as gumnuts. Typically shaped like sealed cups, these non-edible, woody vessels come in a fascinating array of shapes and sizes.
Gumnuts are also known for emitting a delightful aroma when used in an aquarium system, which is quite unique compared to most botanicals that tend to have less pleasant scents.
Preparation:
To ensure proper saturation, gumnuts should be boiled for at least an hour (or longer if needed) since they float when first submerged.
We proudly offer Australian botanicals that are organically sourced and free from pests and pollutants.
Origin:
Our gumnuts are sourced from South Western Australia, where they thrive in their natural habitat.
Note:
As natural products, gumnuts exhibit variations in color, size, and texture, making each pod one-of-a-kind! The accompanying photo serves as a reasonable representation of what to expect.
All of our aquatic botanicals are intended exclusively for ornamental use in aquariums or terrariums. We recommend boiling or soaking all botanicals before use to minimize potential issues. While our botanicals have been thoroughly tested for safety, it’s important to introduce them gradually to your system to monitor their effects on your fish and plants. These products are not intended for human consumption.
DO NOT INGEST!
Our gumnuts are collected from the bush, free from pesticides, and have been tested in our setups without causing harm to fish, snails, or shrimp.
NOT INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
