Botanicals Finke River Mallee (Eucalyptus Sessilis) - 20 Pieces

Eucalyptus sessilis, commonly known as Finke River mallee, is a mallee species native to the Northern Territory and central regions along the Western Australia border. It features smooth bark, often with ribbons of old bark near the base, along with lance-shaped to egg-shaped or elliptical adult leaves. The flower buds grow in clusters of seven, producing creamy yellow flowers and hemispherical fruit, which come in a stunning array of shapes and sizes.

When used in an aquarium system, mallee pods emit a delightful aroma, which is quite unique compared to most botanicals that typically have an unpleasant scent. Each pod measures approximately 1-2 cm in diameter.

Preparation:

To ensure proper saturation, boil the mallee pods for at least an hour (or longer if necessary), as they tend to float when first placed in water.
