This rare stem plant displays very small oval-shaped leaves that are light orange to deep red / orange in colour with small green spots occasionally appearing on them.
Central leaf veins can appear lighter pink to green under less intense light. In low light conditions, leaves appear uniformly bright green.
Cuphea anagalloidea is difficult to grow and not recommended for beginners. It requires intense lighting, regular fertilisation and CO2 injection to achieve ideal growth and colouration. This plant also prefers softer water that is slightly acidic.
