Black Seiryu Rock is perfect for use in aquascaping in planted aquariums / terrariums / paludariums and Vivariums. Black Seiryu rock has natural grooves, shape and contours giving the aquascaper or terraium builder many choices in creating a natural environment. Colours vary from grey to dark grey. Washing the rock thoroughly will help ensure minimal effect on pH.
Black Seiryu has been acid washed with a secret formula (no acid remains after the wash) to "peel" away the outer layer of the classic grey / blue Seiryu rock. This wash brings out the black and white veins of the original rock.
Seiryu means Azure Dragon. In Japan, the Azure Dragon is one of the four guardian spirits of cities and is said to protect the city of Kyoto on the east. Made world famous in the aquarium world by the masters of Japanese Iwagumi and Amano style aquarium art, Seiryu is one of the most outstanding and loved rocks available for aquariums and terrariums.
