Originating from the Tulunadu region in India, this Rotala species is known for its distinctive broad leaves that exhibit an array of colours, ranging from shades of green to vibrant reds, depending on the lighting and nutrient conditions.

Rotala Tulunadensis tends to develop a bushy and compact form, making it suitable for midground or background placement.
