Filter Media
FiltoSmart 60 uses a coarse 20 ppi filter foam and ceramic media, which provide a high surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. Timing to replace the filter media varies upon aquarium size, number of fish and plants, and a decline in filter performance. It is best to only replace the ceramic filter media when you do a complete tank restart as to not disturb the beneficial biological load.

Bracket (not included)
Utilize the Bracket for the FiltoSmart 60 to easily attach the FiltoSmart 60 to the side of your aquarium. Makes maintaining your aquarium simplier as everything is closely contained requiring less tubing. The bracket does not interfere with opening or closing of the unit, so once it is attached, it does not need to be removed.
